Saturday, Janie was in full cleaning-mode which means only one thing. Get out of the house!

Chase (our 3 year old) is a big helper so he stayed with mom. Jackson is a year younger and our little demolition ball so he was stuck with me all day.

"Jackson Mehaffey, you and your daddy just got out of cleaning day. What are you going to do next?!?"

"We are going to Disney World!"

At first I wasn't sure about this idea because the week of July 4 is considered the busiest week at WDW next to Christmas-New Year. However, I was pleasantly surprised when we walked on every ride and were able to meet a bunch of characters. We didn't even get out of Main Street U.S.A. before Jack met Snow White and Mary Poppins and left with lipstick on both cheeks (Jackson not me).

Next stop was checking out the newly opened Casey Jr. Splash 'n' Soak Station. This is quickly becoming a Mehaffey fan favorite especially on sweltering, summer days. Here's a video of it in  action.

Of all the rides at Magic Kingdom, I love that Jackson's favorite is still The Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. This won't last much longer because he is our thrill-seeker.

Then we ran into these two guys in Frontierland and Adventureland. Jackson thought it was hilarious when Donald tried to get in his stroller.

Needless to say, Jackson and I had a blast hanging out just the two of us. Jackson rarely gets alone time with me or Janie and I need to do a better job of making time so we can do more of it.

Every night before bed we go around answering the question, "What was your favorite part of the day?" Out of all the fun we had at Magic Kingdom, Jackson landed on, "Drinking all of daddy's frozen Coke!"
