McDonald's Christmas Mini Photo Shoot

I had a small window this afternoon for a mini photo shoot for three of our favorite people in Orlando. Nate is a bodybuilder with a lumberjack beard, who looks like he could go a few rounds Paul Bunyan. Meredith is one of my wife's best friends and is really the reason Janie has become a runner. Their beautiful, little Lija has become Chase and Jackon's surrogate baby sister. She calls them her "bubbies." Awesome.

They wanted a few photos to go on their Christmas card, so we took a few shots by our Christmas tree and a few more by the pond behind my house.

This was such a fun photo shoot for me because it became a family affair. Janie was great at helping setup different shots and kept us moving quickly and Chase was a fantastic photographer's assistant. He grabbed his Vtech Kidizoom Digital Camera he got for Christmas last year and took shots right along with me. 

Even Jackson got in the act. You can't see him in this final photo below but you can see the result of him. He is standing on the couch next to where I was and doing what he does best...making people laugh. At least it worked on Lija. 

Sunday Snapshot: Vuckovic's at Disney's BoardWalk

Last Sunday, I met up with new friends Mark and Kristin at Disney's BoardWalk for a family photo shoot. Being fellow adoptive parents we connected quickly! I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing stories of how God builds families through adoption...not to mention they make a stunning trio.

My featured photo was taken with my Nikon D7000 which was equipped with a Tamron 17-50mm, F/2.8 lens. The settings for the first were 40mm, F/4.0, ISO 1600 and 1/8000. I framed this photo by kneeling along the vertical planks which forces the viewer's eye further into the photo. 

Sunday Snapshot - Kermit Captured and Freed

On Friday, I noticed we had a visitor who was hanging out by our front door. I quickly called for the boys cause they would definitely want to see him...or her (I have no idea which).

These photos are even further evidence of why I love raising boys (Click individual photos to get a better view...in that mode just click the arrows next to the photo to advance to the next one).

For those who speak photography, the first photo was taken with my Nikon D7000 equipped with my Tamron 17-15mm, F/2.8 lens. The settings for the first were 35mm, F/4.0, ISO 800 and 1//160. I only made some minor adjustments in Lightroom 4 but did bring in a vignette to help bring attention to the center of the photo.
